“…It may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.” (Surah Baqarah 2:216)
You may find yourself upset over things not going the way you want them to. You may not end up with the job you wanted or have a hard time actually finding a job and getting hired. You see, as long as you pray to Allah and ask Allah to guide you and give you what is best for you, you may not end up with your definition of the best. Allah knows best and the Almighty is going to keep away whatever is not good for you.
When you find yourself feeling sad, feeling down, depressed or just simply hopeless then remind yourself of the stories mentioned in the Quran. Read the stories regarding the Prophets such as Musa (AS) and Yaqub (AS) or Yusuf (AS). Remind yourself of what Maryam (AS) went through and just imagine what kind of fear they went through. Prophets throughout history went through accusations, betrayal, sadness and more. We can’t even comprehend the kinds of circumstances they were in and how they managed to continue to be compassionate and empathetic towards others. Every situation each and every Prophet went through turned out for the best. Although in the beginning, it’s hard to stay positive or shall I say, the light at the end of the tunnel, Allah has promised us that “with hardship comes ease”(Quran 94:5-6).
