If only I had the passion for random college courses that we are required to take just to get a certain degree as I do for photography, art or helping another person then it things wouldn’t feel so overwhelming. Sometimes, I just wonder why even bother… I receive a great amount of joy by just being around people and helping them out in any way I possibly can. Just to see another human smile and feel that you were able to remove some of their worries and distress is an unexplainable feeling. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that I have access to education and I do enjoy educating myself. I guess I can say that I cant relate to other people, I like doing research on certain topics, learning more about the human body, how we function psychologically or physiologically or how our environment impacts us. These are the things that I find fascinating. I believe I find it interesting because by increasing my knowledge on the above topics that were mentioned, it helps me serve my community, friends, and family better and that is what brings joy into my life, it gives me a sense of purpose. Sometimes we may not realize what our drive is and maybe our loved ones or family members may not realize that you have a different ambition or drive in life than then and that’s okay. Your job is not to explain to others why something brings you joy, your job is to continue doing what you love the most. Stay true to yourself and don’t change what brings you joy just to please others. All I’m trying to say is that we need to encourage one another to do what we love and not what society wants from us. By giving more, we are actually getting more! It’s not really about what you get, it’s all about what you can give out to others to be part of a greater change. Expect less and give more, if everything was like that then our world would have been so perfect but unfortunately, it’s not. But, we can still hope and while we are hoping, we can become part of that change that we wish to see.
